Patterns in the 7 times table
- The last digits repeat every 10 steps: 7, 4, 1, 8, 5, 2, 9, 6, 3, 0.
- The answers alternate odd, even, odd, even — odd whenever you multiply by an odd number.
- Seven has no shortcut, which is why it is the table most people find hardest. Learn 7 × 7 = 49 and 7 × 8 = 56 first; the rest you already know from the other tables.
- 7 × 7 = 49 is the square. The answers run from 7 to 84.
